Jovana Yoka Terzic aka Animal Bro

I was born and grew up in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, raised on Slavic fairy tales and epic poems and preferring art museums over playgrounds. In 2006 I obtained an MFA in painting from the University of Art in Belgrade, with secondary education from Evelyn College of Design in picturesque Nairobi, Kenya. Since 2011 I live in Sydney, where I paint, teach art classes, curate exhibitions and publish zines.
Before moving to Australia, my work has been displayed in galleries across Europe and has won awards at international competitions for illustration and graphic printing.

My interests include: outsider and visionary art, art therapy, ancient cultures,
folk art and literature, erotic art, philosophy, occult spirituality and independent publishing.
